Strehler Sirna Picture 2

Hello, today I’m thrilled to introduce a watch from Strehler that I had the chance to explore for the first time at the Salon des Horlogers in Geneva. This innovative piece is the debut model from Andreas Strehler’s new brand, crafted with the vision to make his exceptional craftsmanship accessible to a broader audience of watch collectors.

Andreas Strehler, the visionary behind this brand, established his company in 1995, alongside a venture that produces components and movements for the industry. His profound expertise and innovative approach have significantly influenced contemporary watchmaking.

The model is named after the town of Sirna, located in the canton of Thurgau between Lake Constance and the Alps—where Strehler’s workshop breathes life into his creations. The Strehler Sirna combines simplicity and elegance in a three-hand watch that embodies a modern yet timeless design, making it ideal for daily wear.

What are the features of the Strehler Sirna ?

Case

The Strehler Sirna showcases a versatile 40 mm polished steel case, only 8.5 mm thick. Its concave shape with flowing lines offers a modern, comfortable fit ideal for daily wear. Note that it has a water resistance rating of 3 ATM, indicating that it is suitable for everyday use but not for swimming or diving activities.

Dial

This watch features a harmoniously designed titanium dial with a three-dimensional pattern by Eric Giroud. Each dial is individually machined and laser engraved before hand-polishing. The blue color, achieved through anodizing, enhances its vividness and durability. The design includes two stainless steel hour rings; the smaller one hosts the small seconds at 6 o’clock, creating a deep, captivating visual depth.

Movement

Inside, the Strehler Sirna is powered by the SA-30, a self-winding movement entirely designed at the Strehler workshops in Sirnach. This movement, regulated by a special Strehler Swiss lever escapement and a large free-sprung balance, operates at 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and offers a 60-hour power reserve.

The movement’s architecture and finishing techniques—such as perlage on the movement plate, sunburst on the barrel, and brushed circular gears—are visible through the case-back. Notably, a hollowed-out rotor made of 18-carat gold accentuates its refined aesthetics.

Strap

The Strehler Sirna is equipped with a supple brown calf leather strap detailed with off-white stitching and a high-quality steel buckle. This strap enhances both the elegance and comfort of the watch, making it ideal for daily wear.

How much does the Strehler Sirna?

The Strehler Sirna is not limited edition but is naturally restricted in production to between 30 and 50 units annually. Priced at CHF 20,000 (excluding VAT), it offers more collectors the chance to own a piece of Andreas Strehler’s renowned craftsmanship, making his unique approach to watchmaking more accessible.

Strehler Sirna: Distinctive and Refined

The Strehler Sirna epitomizes the essence of the brand with a perfectly balanced design that combines unique, unmistakable character with modern sophistication. This timepiece stands out not just for its quality but also for its distinctive approach, setting it apart from other offerings in the Strehler watchmaking universe. Special thanks to Gabriel for his exceptional service and professionalism.
