Atelier Pieters is an independent Swiss watch brand launched in 2026 by Maarten and Jessica Pieters in Les Hauts-Geneveys, in the canton of Neuchâtel. Bringing together more than fifty years of combined experience, the two watchmakers draw on complementary backgrounds in complications, restoration, hand finishing and education. Their careers include leading roles at WOSTEP and establishing a watchmaking training programme in Cambodia, reflecting a shared commitment to preserving and passing on traditional skills. Working from their own workshop, they manufacture and finish the majority of their movement components themselves using conventional, manually operated machines, while collaborating with specialist suppliers for elements such as cases and dials. Their first creation, the Atelier 1 Founders’ Series, combines classical styling with a manually wound tourbillon calibre, a planetary power reserve mechanism and intricate hand finishing. With production limited to a handful of watches each year, Atelier Pieters places craftsmanship, mechanical understanding and the transmission of knowledge at the heart of its approach to independent watchmaking.
