Yosuke Sekiguchi is an independent Japanese watchmaker based in Le Locle, whose work reflects a deeply personal path shaped by persistence, restoration, complicated watchmaking and an uncompromising respect for handcraft. After years spent learning between Japan, France and Switzerland, including experience at La Joux-Perret and Christophe Claret, Sekiguchi developed an approach rooted in historical calibres, traditional techniques and an intuitive relationship with making. His watches are not conceived around complication for its own sake, but around proportion, sensitivity and the direct involvement of the watchmaker’s hand. Each creation carries the quiet precision of a maker for whom watchmaking is as much an art of execution as it is a mechanical discipline.
