Atelier Wen is an independent watch brand founded in 2018 by Robin Tallendier and Wilfried Buiron with the ambition of showcasing the richness of Chinese craftsmanship and culture through contemporary mechanical watches. After meeting during their studies in China, the two founders spent several years exploring the country’s watchmaking industry and working with local artisans before launching the Porcelain Odyssey, their first collection featuring handcrafted porcelain dials. Today, Atelier Wen continues to collaborate with some of China’s finest craftsmen, notably guilloché master Cheng Yucai, creating watches that combine traditional decorative arts with modern design while offering a different perspective on Chinese watchmaking beyond the usual clichés.
