HYT T1 SERIES PICTURE 2

Hello, today I’d like to introduce the HYT T1 series, unveiled at Geneva Watches Week in celebration of the brand’s 12th anniversary. Before exploring the details of the HYT T1 Titanium Silver, let’s take a brief look at the history of the brand.

Founded in 2012 in Neuchâtel by Lucien Vouillamoz, HYT quickly made its mark by securing the Innovation Prize at the GPHG (Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève) the very same year. The brand’s concept is intriguing: it employs two immiscible liquids inside a glass capillary that move in opposition to display the time, challenging the traditional watchmaking notion where liquid is typically an adversary. Yet, the brand’s vision seeks to revisit the earliest principles of timekeeping, echoing the ancient technology of the water clock or clepsydra.

This hydro-mechanical innovation stretches the limits of precision engineering and micro-fluidics, offering a novel way to experience time. With new CEO Vahé Vartzbed at the helm, the brand is determined to continue challenging the norms with this latest model.

What are the features of the HYT T1 Titanium Silver?

Case

The HYT T1 Titanium Silver presents a case with a modest diameter, offering a new compact design. Measuring 45.30 mm in width, 46.30 mm in length, and 17.20 mm in thickness, this lug-free titanium case is sleek and guarantees water resistance up to 50 meters. The case has been redesigned with octagonal and subtly faceted lines.

Dial

Setting itself apart from other models, the HYT T1 Titanium Silver features a closed dial, which is a strategic choice aimed at attracting a new audience seeking discretion without sacrificing the brand’s distinctive flair. The dial excels in capturing light with its satin-finished minute track and hour flange, creating a striking visual harmony.

Movement

The HYT T1 Titanium Silver is powered by the 501-CM movement, developed in collaboration with TEC Group and Eric Coudray in 2019. This hand-wound movement is a technical marvel containing 352 parts, offering a 72-hour power reserve, and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). HYT continues to innovate in time display with a retrograde fluidic system that resets every 12 hours, complemented by a central minute hand and a power reserve indicator, providing a unique way to experience time.

Strap

The HYT T1 Titanium Silver is equipped with two comfortable rubber straps, each featuring its own buckle. Along with the standard black strap, you will also receive an additional strap available in blue, dark blue, or charcoal. Other strap options include white, light gray, and light blue. These wristbands are designed for quick changes and feature a straight drop that naturally conforms to the wrist shape, enhancing comfort for a 45 mm watch. It’s worth mentioning that nylon straps are available too, though they might feel slightly less comfortable.

How much does the HYT T1 Titanium Silver cost?

The HYT T1 Titanium Silver is not a limited edition and is priced at CHF 48,000 (excluding VAT). This price point is considered more accessible for the brand.

HYT T1 Titanium Silver: A Code-Breaking Watch

With the T1 Titanium Silver, HYT continues to inspire and drive the evolution of the watchmaking industry with its boldness and creativity. This blend of traditional and contemporary reflects the Neuchâtel-based company’s commitment to continuous reinvention while maintaining the technological core that defines its identity. I believe this model, with its more discreet appearance and enhanced wearability, will resonate well with its audience. A special thanks to Carla for her warm hospitality.
