Today, I want to talk about a brand that holds a special place in my heart, as it connects deeply to my second greatest passion: automobiles. This brand is none other than Singer Reimagined. Before diving into their groundbreaking new creation, which has made waves among diving enthusiasts, let me introduce you to Marco Borraccino, the co-founder of the brand alongside Rob Dickinson of Singer Vehicle Design.
A designer by training, Marco is a creative genius who has experienced a fascinating professional journey. Coming from an Italian family of art collectors and modern art enthusiasts, he was exposed to artistic objects from an early age, sparking his interest in design. Initially pursuing a path in automotive design, he later chose to specialize in the world of watchmaking. Marco had the opportunity to work as a designer for the iconic brand Panerai. He later founded his own design studio and began teaching watch design in Geneva.
Through his career, Marco crossed paths with key figures in the industry. Yet, the desire to create something truly his own remained. He dreamed of a project that would combine his passion for watches and cars. In 2014, after extensive discussions with Rob Dickinson, the founder of Singer Vehicle Design in California, Marco began work on what would become the first model of Singer Reimagined. Through its creations, the brand seeks to honor the design and style of the 1960s and 1970s while enhancing ergonomics and highlighting the most iconic horological function: the chronograph.
Three years later, in 2017, the brand launched with the debut of the Singer Reimagined Track1, featuring the innovative AgenGraphe movement developed by Agenhor. This model went on to win the Best Chronograph Award at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2018. To draw a parallel, just as Singer Vehicle Design reimagined Porsche models to enhance their reliability for uninterrupted driving pleasure, Singer Reimagined brought the chronograph function to the forefront to maximize the enjoyment of its use, ensuring clarity and ease of reading.
Following the inventive Flytrack in 2020 and 1969 Collection, Singer Reimagined has now introduced the Divetrack, a groundbreaking dive watch. Combining the brand’s iconic design ethos with an unprecedented central 24-hour chronograph, the Divetrack marks a new era in dive watches. While it excels in underwater performance, it also serves a vital role on land, particularly for managing surface intervals between dives. These intervals are essential for allowing nitrogen absorbed during dives to safely dissipate from the body, enabling accurate planning of subsequent dives. Let’s explore the details of this extraordinary timepiece.

What Are the Features of the Singer Reimagined Divetrack?
Case
The Singer Reimagined Divetrack boasts a Grade 5 titanium case that feels incredibly smooth to the touch, equipped with all the necessary diving functionalities. This material ensures top-tier mechanical resistance and corrosion protection, coupled with an excellent weight-to-volume ratio. Measuring 49 mm in diameter and 19.67 mm in thickness, the watch might initially seem daunting for everyday wear, especially for smaller wrists. However, its lug-less design allows it to adapt comfortably to most wrist sizes, offering remarkable wearability when considered in its entirety.
Water-resistant to 300 meters, the case features a sandwich construction with a central sapphire ring that reveals the peripheral hour disk. It is topped with a unidirectional bezel crafted from marine-grade 316L stainless steel, featuring a 60-minute aluminum-ceramic insert. To enhance practicality, all case components are micro-blasted to reduce glare and focus on the essential diving information displayed.
For operational security, the watch incorporates dual O-ring pushers and a screw-down crown. The Start/Stop pusher at 2 o’clock is protected by a ceramic-coated red guard to prevent accidental activation. Meanwhile, the Reset pusher at 10 o’clock is designed to function only when the chronograph is stopped. These pushers, integrated seamlessly into the case, are shielded from external impacts. Additionally, a helium escape valve ensures the watch’s functionality during saturation dives, allowing trapped helium to safely escape and protecting the case from damage.
Dial
The Singer Reimagined Divetrack features a matte black dial with Super-LumiNova-filled indicators for optimal underwater visibility. The central 24-hour chronograph is specifically engineered to monitor an entire dive session. The continuously sweeping central seconds hand ensures the watch’s functionality is apparent, while the prominent orange minute hand tracks the underwater adventure in sync with the bezel’s 60-minute scale.
This innovative architecture centralizes all chronograph functions, simplifying elapsed time tracking at a glance. The intuitive display is further enhanced by jumping indicators for minutes and hours, elevating readability. Initiating a dive is as simple as pressing the Start button at 2 o’clock. Its red guard ensures both ease of use and safety. During a dive, interaction with the watch is primarily limited to adjusting the unidirectional bezel for decompression timing.
Beyond underwater use, the Divetrack proves invaluable for managing surface intervals—the recovery periods between dives. By allowing nitrogen to safely dissipate from the body, these intervals are critical for safe diving practices. The watch’s chronograph tracks these intervals continuously, aiding in the precise planning of subsequent dives. Additionally, the watch includes a safety indicator for the interval required before flying post-dive.
The secondary central counter provides an exceptional multifunctional tool with three distinct zones:
– FLY (18h–24h): Highlights the safety window before air travel post-dive, aligning with PADI guidelines recommending a minimum of 18 hours.
– CHILL (0h–6h): Guides surface interval determination based on previous dive parameters like depth, duration, and frequency.
– DIVE (6h–18h): Indicates readiness for the next dive after the required surface interval.
Movement
The Singer Reimagined Divetrack houses the revolutionary AgenGraphe movement developed by Agenhor. Comprising 479 components and 56 jewels, this caliber delivers an impressive 72-hour power reserve. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), it is stabilized by a flat balance spring regulated by the AgenPit system.
The AgenGraphe’s ingenuity lies in its unique coupling mechanism, which seamlessly integrates the chronograph with the gear train. This horizontal clutch design ensures smooth operation while conserving space, rivaling the precision of vertical clutches.
Strap
The Singer Reimagined Divetrack is equipped with interchangeable rubber and velcro straps, designed for both versatility and comfort. The rubber strap stands out for its practicality, while the velcro strap is particularly suited for intensive diving activities.
What Is the Price of the Singer Reimagined Divetrack?
The Singer Reimagined Divetrack is a limited edition of just 25 pieces for 2024, priced at CHF 85,000 (excluding VAT).
Singer Reimagined Divetrack: A Revolutionary Dive Watch
The Singer Reimagined Divetrack is designed to meet the demands of serious divers and watch enthusiasts alike, enhancing the diving experience with unmatched precision, functionality, and style. For me, this concept is entirely unique. It’s creations like these that make me love independent watch brands, as they consistently introduce bold ideas and a distinct horological vision. In conclusion, the Divetrack stands unrivaled as the world’s first mechanical dive chronograph with a 24-hour central display. With its innovative movement architecture and function-first design, it embodies Singer’s ultimate vision for dive watch technology. While its size might make it less suitable for daily wear, it’s essential to remember that this is a tool watch, purpose-built for adventure rather than fashion statements. A heartfelt thank you to Marie Boutteçon and the Singer Reimagined team for allowing me to experience this extraordinary piece firsthand.
